Congrats JINYA! In celebration of their Gold award for the best ramen, they offered a limited time ramen combo special for only $22. . Luckily an ig ad popped on my feed announcing this and thus, dinner plans were decided. . I chose their Jinya Black Tonkatsu ramen while apps and dessert were set with the combo. Thankful the mint citrus gelatin dessert was only served in a shot glass... it was a striking contrast against the savory umami ramen I had, and although not bad, I'd prefer some ice cream to end my meal. (: . As usual, attentive service with their trendy playlist made a pleasant experience for this solo dine in. . cheers!

The setting at Jinya Ramen Bar was beyond pretty and it matched the whole vibe of food and drinks. We loved how everything on the inside of the restaurant was so pretty and put us more in the mood to be hungry for ramen. Definitely recommend getting the crispy rice with spicy tuna! We also ordered the premium tonkatsu red and it definitely hits the spot for when you're in the mood for spicy! Definitely will be coming back! The service was great and recommending a lot of good things on the menu to try!

I first tried jinya during their $10 ramen promotion. The place was packed and they had a really nice place that made for a great atmosphere. The tonkotsu ramen there has a nice thick broth and it feels pretty high quality. They also had promotions on a couple appetizers including the bao and crunchy tuna rice. Their appetizers are what stand out for me. Its experimental and fun. I went again this week and there was another promotion for winning best ramen. They included "tapas" set and dessert for $22 if u order ramen. Its a fun idea and i would recommend coming here to try it!

Jinya Ramen is having a $22 special celebrating them winning a Hale Aina award for something. Choice of Ramen (I got original tonkotsu), appetizers and wee dessert (agar agar thingy with grapefruit and oranges). The apps were decent. The wee taco was spicy, fried chicken and gyoza just okay. I am not a ramen aficionado but I enjoyed the porky broth and thick noodles. My slices of pork did not have any fat, so not as melty as I like. The other ramen options states thin noodles. What to say about the dessert. . .Grapefruit should NEVER be part of dessert IMO. Iced green tea was refreshing and came with free refill. You have to walk the length of the two restaurants to get to the bathroom. Darkest bathroom I have ever been in! I thought at first the lights weren't on and was looking all over for a light switch. Nope! I think it's supposed to be that dim. The toilet stalls had a bit more light, thank goodness! I honestly had a hard time finding the trash container and the exit door handle. I trekked back to da table and told my friend to check and see if the men's bathroom is that dim and I waved my hand around cos the soap had a nice floral scent and asked him to check out da soap. Yup, men's bathroom was as dimly lit but their soap had no scent. I know, kinda useless information but you're welcome!

After seeing they received this year's Hale Aina award for best ramen, I had to try Jinya. This place is very nicely decorated and the tables are comfortably spaced apart, unlike most ramen places. They had a $24.99 combo of ramen and tapas. You can choose from any ramen on the menu and the tapas platter came with 3 gyoza, 2 pieces of fried chicken, mini spicy ahi taco and a small pile of greens. This is a great deal! Whenever some place wins an award, the expectations are so high. I feel this was the case here and the ramen was good but I wouldn't say it was the best. I had the Jinya Tonkotsu Black with pork. The broth was very good, you could taste the pork in the broth and it was neither salty or oily. This broth is one of the best I've tasted. The ramen noodles were good but not any different from other good ramen places. I tried both the regular and gluten-free noodles. The regular was good. Unless you have to order gluten-free, I wouldn't. It was a little hard and left a slimey after taste. Overall, it was a nice dinner. The service was excellent. The food and the value was very good. It's actually between a 4 and 5 star rating, but closer to a 4.

#24 of 52 (weeks of trying a new restaurant at least once a week) Made a reservation for a Saturday but the place wasn't too busy. They have a nice space inside and outside that is quite large. We ended up there during happy hour so my honey had to get some beer. I had already looked at the menu before we arrived so I knew was I was getting. They have a really good deal where you get a choice of ramen and a side of their signature tapas that includes 3 pork gyoza, 1 spicy tuna taco and 2 pieces of crispy chicken. All that was just $24! I got the tonkatsu black with the tapas and my honey got the Tonkatsu oringal 2010. He added a little spice. The tapas came out pretty quickly. All three options were so delicious it was hard to pick a favorite but I think the chicken won by a slight margin. Very flavorful and you get a couple good sized pieces. Ramen came right behind our tapas. I am a sucker for tonkatsu with garlic and this was very good. Broth was very flavorful. I love an egg in my ramen and the egg was cooked perfectly. The meat and veggie were plentiful. All in all a very good bowl of ramen. When we're in the area we'll definitely return.

We went on a week night so it wasn't too crowded... wanted to some good ramen at a place that also serves up some amazing fun cocktails. The service was fast and friendly... and the ambiance is a modern clean Japanese feel to it. It's a nice place for a date night or to catch up with old friends. Highly recommend the "black ramen combo" That ramen was so full of flavor and bonus you get to order a side also Just FYI, they also have connecting sister restaurants LBD and Robata Jinya... so the restroom is all the way at the other end of the robata side... And parking is not in the building , so you got to park at the Dave and Busters side or one of the other lots in the area.

Jinya Ramen at Ward offers a unique dining experience that's far from your average ramen spot. With convenient parking in the Ward lot and a cozy, intimate ambiance, it's ideal for a first date or a quiet night out. The darker, more intimate setting, adorned with striking graphic art, creates a space that invites you to savor the flavors rather than just eating and leaving. The ramen here is exceptional, and the combo option stands out as the best on the island. Unlike other places where you have to choose just one appetizer for the night, Jinya lets you enjoy a sampler of them all and it's such a good deal; the ahi taco being a particular favorite. Although it's a great spot for solo diners and small groups, it might not be the best choice for families with young children or large groups, as the largest table seats only six. Also, all the servers I interacted with were professional but really knew how to make the lunch/dinners I had here enjoyable. Did I mention this place offers FRESH, mince on your own, GARLIC? Okay, if you take your date here and they don't mind your garlic, they're a keeper. Or bring your spouse here - who you trynna impress at that point? Overall, Jinya Ramen distinguishes itself with its ambiance and quality. It's a place where you can truly appreciate the art of ramen in a setting that encourages you to linger and enjoy the experience. Definitely worth a visit and highly recommended for anyone who loves ramen.

My walking buddy and I took a big chance at going to Jinya Ramen Bar on the second day of 14th Anniversary $10 Ramen Special and without reservations. We arrived just before 11 am and went inside to see if JRB takes walk ins. We were asked if we had reservations, gulp ... no. Just by luck, she looked at her "book" and in the restaurant (which was filling up) and sat us! Wow, that was cool. By the time we were seated and ordered our meals, there was a line outside the restaurant. Our server greeted us right away. I couldn't hear her name as it was a bit noisy. She quickly took our refreshment order of H20 lol. After bringing out iced H20, we ordered the special JINYA Tonkotsu Black Ramen (pork broth, pork chashu, kikurage, green onion, nori dried seaweed, seasoned egg, garlic chips, garlic oil, fried onion and spicy sauce and served with thin noodles.) for $10. We also ordered: JINYA Bun (1 Pc) Special price $3 (Steamed bun stuffed with slow braised pork chashu, cucumber and baby mixed greens served with JINYA's original bun sauce and mayonnaise.), Takoyaki -Octopus Balls $9.80 (Battered octopus over egg tartar topped with mayonnaise, okonomiyaki sauce, fresh cut green onion and smoked bonito flakes.) and Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna Special price $3 (2 pieces of crispy grilled sushi rice topped with spicy tuna, garnished with sliced Serrano pepper). The noodles for the ramen were interestingly thin. The broth is not salty and full of umami. The whole seasoned egg is delicious. There website says there is MSG. I'm pretty sensitive to MSG, however, I did not get the usual sickly feeling when too much MSG is used. The nori is provided separately to keep it crisp. The pork slices were lean and tasty. Overall 4.5 out of 5 stars. Takoyaki was undercooked in my humble opinion. The inside was a bit gooey and tasteless. Very small piece of octopus. I loved the egg tartar. The outside was not crispy but more bread like. Overall 3.5 out of 5 stars. Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna - a tasty morsel with a great texture combo of crispy rice and not so spicy tuna. No shoyu needed. Overall 4.5 out of 5 stars. I didn't try the JINYA bun, but my walking partner devoured it. lol. Ambiance was a bit on the noisy side due to the number of guests. The employees shout out a welcome in Japanese when they seat a guest. For some, this may be alarmingly loud. Overall 4 out of 5 stars. Service is 5 out of 5 stars. Our server did her best to provide us individual attention even if the restaurant was full. Amazing deal during this promotion.
